So for those of you who haven’t heard, Oasis lead guitarist Noel Gallagher said having Jay-Z as a headliner at this year’s Glastonbury Festival was a mistake.
Noel says:
“If it ain’t broke don’t fix it … If you start to break it then people aren’t going to go. I’m sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance … Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music and even when they throw the odd curve ball in on a Sunday night you go ‘Kylie Minogue?’ I don’t know about it. But I’m not having hip-hop at Glastonbury. It’s wrong.”
This spawned a feud (something Noel seems to do more than breathing) and people got all hot-and-bothered. So what does Jay-Z do, y’know, just for fun? He covers “Wonderwall.”

I don’t know if it can get any worse for this woman. Here’s video of Amy Winehouse at the Glastonbury Festival. It looks like she’s punching a fan in the front row, just days after being released from a hospital where she was treated for a chest infection.
Nevermind Britney, has AP got Amy’s obituary written up already?

Creaky Boards, a Brooklyn-based band, claims Chris Martin stole a tune of theirs and made it his own. They’re talking about a song called “The Songs I Didn’t Write,” which Coldplay has allegedly ripped off for current single “Viva La Vida.” The band claims that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin attended a Creaky Boards show last year where the band performed the song live. (The song has never been released on an album.) However, NME reports that Chris Martin was not in the United States when the suspected plagiarism occurred. Check out the video below made by Creaky Boards which shows the alleged similarities between the two songs.
Did Coldplay rip off Creaky Boards? I doubt it. Maybe it’s because I’m tired of the whole “big-bad-million-record-selling-band stole my song” accusations or maybe it’s because there are only so many combinations of notes that you can create before the world starts writing the same songs over and over again. It’s all just becoming a little old. Especially when the band thinks they saw Chris Martin in the audience.

I hope their new single is a cover of Madonna’s “Burnin’ Up.”

But it’s probably not.

I know many people think she isn’t relevant anymore, but I kind of love this song. It reminds me of Madonna.
